A curse used by an Orc in The Lord of the Rings, book III, chapter 3. Clearly Tolkien was first looking for a distasteful sound effect, and only later tried to find a sense in it. Two interpretations of his have been published, one in The Peoples of Middle-earth p. 83, the other in Vinyar Tengwar n° 26 p. 16.
