Commentary
These titles come from a working slip for the Silmarillion, published in Morgoth’s Ring, p. 373. We added a few link words (marked in italics). Tolkien translated only parts but these sentences can be interpreted without difficulty.

The text is transcribed in tengwar or “letters of Fëanor” according to the mode of Beleriand created by Tolkien and illustrated for instance by the Moria gate inscription in The Lord of the Rings, book II, chapter 4.
