Salut,<br>quelqu'un connait-il la définition du mot "mearas"?, qui étant un mot rohirric doit puiser ses origines dans le vieil anglais, I suppose.<p>Bon si quelqu'un a une proposition a donner, merci d'avance.<p>Namárie<p>Rínon

On trouve l'explication de ce mot dans les CLI, "Cirion et Eorl", note 6 (p.402): "<i>Marhwini</i> and <i>Marhari</i> contain the Gothic word <i>marh</i> 'horse', corresponding to Old English <i>mearh</i>, plural <i>mearas</i>, the word used in <i>The Lord of the Rings</i> for the horses of Rohan."<br>traduction: "<i>Marhwini</i> et <i>Marhari</i> contiennent le mot Gothique <i>marh</i> 'cheval', qui correspond au Vieil Anglais <i>mearh</i>, au pluriel <i>mearas</i>, le nom donné dans le SdA aux chevaux du Rohan."<p>Iarwain
