J'ai fait un petit essai rapide, en butant inévitablement sur certains éléments de certaines phrases... Voici le résultat (à compléter et amender, bien entendu) :

I did not understand your remark about proofs for Vol III. It did not mean surely that they have lost my corrected copy sent in — for there were some vital corrections in the set. Though I think I have kept a note of them. I hope the other corrections sent in 'posthumously" (due to research into times and distances for the Map) have been incorporated.
I have not received any set of proofs for Vol III. But that does not mather now - esp. not if I could see a copy incorporating all corrections.
