Il semble effectivement que d tende à passer à n quand il y a un autre n plus loin dans le mot, par une sorte d'assimilation à distance. Tolkien note dans WJ:413-4 à propos du mot quenya <b>norno</b> :<p><font color=blue>...The Q forms <i>norna, Norno</i> may also contain <i>nd-</i>, though S <i>dorn</i> does not ; but this is probably one of the cases in which Q initial <i>d</i> became <i>n-</i>, not <i>l-</i>, by assimilation to an <i>n</i> occurring later in the word.</font><p>Bertrand
