Ayant le livre édité par Hostetter et Flieger entre les mains désormais, je signale tout de suite l'article important de charles Noad sur La construction du Silmarillion (p. 31-68). C. Noad conclut en proposant un 'nouveau' Silmarillion conforme aux indications de Tolkien, qui aurait cette allure (p. 66-67) :
