Je n'ai pas HOME, mais j'ai le livre de Vincent et p.283 (note96) il est dit: "L, p.237; L, p.204-5,328,411 ("a purgatory, but one of peace and healing"; Frodo et ses amis mortels choisiront librement de mourir)...dans son commentaire au dialogue de Finrod et Andreth, Tolkien fait référence au cas de Frodo et de ses compagnons:"It was in any case a special grace. An opportunity for dying according to the original plan for the unfallen: they went to a state in which they could acquire greater knowledge and peace of mind, and being healed of all hurts both of mind and body, could at last surrender themselves: die of free will, and even of desire, in estel" (Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth, in Morgoth's Ring,p.341)".
J'en déduis qu'à l'instar d'Aragorn, ils vont choisir de mourir en toute sérénité à Valinor.
Valinor, c'est un peu le mythe d'Eden, mais fermé aux mortels, sauf exception (et le pays d'Eden était plutôt à l'est,je crois).
