The Sil, Of Maeglin ; p 159 ed Harper & Collins 1990 :
"and he devised a metal as hard as the steel of the Dwarwes, but so malleable that he could make it thin and supple; and yey,it remained resistant to all blades and darts. He named it galvorn, for it was black and shinning like jet, abd he was clad in it whenever he went abroad."

Donc, le terme utilisé est "devise" (concevoir, imaginer)

Ce ne pouvait être "créer" de toute façon. Seul Eru est créateur. Les autres etres font acte de sous-création : ils façonnent, fabriquent, conçoivent... mais à partir d'éléments de la Création déjà existant.
