Ces cavernes furent developpées par les Noegyth Nibin, qui les nommerent Nulukkizdîn.
Dans le livre de Foster, on peut lire ceci:
-"A group of Dwarves of Beleriand. Exiled from their homes during the Peace of Arda, they were the first Dwarves to enter Beleriand, where they were hunted by unknowing Sindar.
They delved dwellings at Amon Rûdh and Nulukkizdîn, but they dwindled before the Noldor returned to Middle-earth. By the 5th Century FA the only Noegyth Nibin left alive with Mîm and his two sons."
