Du côté des Letters, je n'ai rien vu de particulier sur ce sujet, sinon la lettre 93 qui date de 1944, dans laquelle Tolkien (qui n'a pas achevé l'écriture du SdA) laisse supposer que Sam ne fera pas le voyage vers l'Ouest: "[...]Sam is the most closely drawn character, the successor to Bilbo of the first book, the genuine hobbit.[...]The book will probably end up with Sam. Frodo will naturally become too ennobled and rarefied by the achievement of the great Quest, and will pass West with all the great figures; but Sam will settle down to the Shire and gardens and inns.[...]" Silmo
PS: Cédric(68), je ne crois pas que tu ne respectes pas les règles du Forum mais peut-être que tu vas un peu vite pour faire part de tes interrogations. En effet, si tu as la "matière" à ta disposition, mais pas sous la main, peut-être faut-il attendre d'accéder à tes ouvrages pour y trouver les réponses que tu cherches. Si par contre, tu n'as ni le SdA en VO ni les Letters, n'hésites pas, bien sûr, à solliciter tous ceux qui peuvent te renseigner.
