Une deuxième et dernière occurrence de cette expression apparaît dans le Lord of the Rings, dans le chapitre "The Taming of Smeagol" (IV, i), lorsque Sam et Frodo sont dans les Emyn Muil, donc pas loin de l'Anduin :
